Alot of people have scepticism about movies released based on video games. It always has this effect of turning out badly and ruining the whole franchise. Am sure you also have the same sentiments about it. I can’t agree more.
The Directors of the movie tend to expect that since the game performed successfully selling millions of copies, they are sure it will blow the box office. Apparently, the opposite happens and it actually demotivates the general feeling of that game consequently. The same also goes to movies that are turn into video games. There are just a select few that out perform expectations like The Halo TV and web series, Hitman Resident Evil and a few names.
It just a few game developers that have declined to have their games turned into movies with big names such as Hideyo Kojima turning down offers to have stealth-action based third person shooter, Metal Gear Solid, into a movie. I know for those who don’t play video games often, it is plated as a chance to see what the euphoria is on a particular game. At the end of it all, they wonder what was so intriguing about such as game.
If there was only one way to rectify this, it could save the good name gaming has.
Which other games were turned into movies that turned good or bad?
